Associated Retailers Limited is a growing retail and wholesale service group which specialises in buying and marketing a range of products across a variety of retail businesses under well-known brand names.
Within a small finance team, the Financial Accountant will report to and work closely with the Financial Controller. You will have strong financial accounting experience with the capability to communicate and collaborate with other departments and company owned stores. This role requires an individual with exceptional decision making and technical skills, a process improvement mindset, an analytical thinker who can develop strategic alliances and meet deliverables.
Key activities for this role will include:
- Month End and Management Reporting
- Year End processes and preparation of Financial Statements
- Audit Liaison
- Tax compliance
- Providing financial solutions and preparing financial analysis
- Supporting the Financial Controller in preparation of forecasts and budgets
The successful candidate will have:
- Great organisational and attention to detail skills
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce/Business majoring in Accounting or equivalent
- Completed or begun a CPA/CA Qualification (desirable)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Retail experience advantageous
- A positive "can do" attitude and most importantly enthusiasm and passion for your craft.
