This role is a perfect opportunity for an experienced accountant with multi-entity or multi-site experience to join the Vue Group Finance team, contribute to our accounting practices and most importantly, to drive our practices forward.

The Company
Vue Group is looking for an exceptional Senior Accountant to join our Melbourne-based Accounting & Finance team on a full-time basis.

The Role & Responsibilities
In this role your primary focus as a Senior Accountant will be to oversee the accounts payable and receivable function, report across the Vue Group in collaboration with our Venue Managers, ensure day to day accounting processes are compliant as well as process improvement through supporting our operations team. 
Further responsibilities include but not be limited to:

• Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting across the Vue Group
• Working on the internal and external audit process with a view to creating greater efficiencies
• Work with the Finance Director to manage the weekly, monthly and quarterly year-end close process and reporting
• Continually identify and investigate performance trends, specifically in revenue, COGS and labour
• Assisting the Finance Director in the implementation of various other projects

  
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have the following:

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting and CPA or CA preferred
• A tenacious approach to problem-solving coupled with proven experience in financial management accounting functions
• An understanding of financial systems and up to date with the best finance and accounting technologies aiding businesses today
• Passion for Melbourne's famous restaurant industry and the amazing experiences we strive to provide our guests
• Ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
• Advanced Excel skills
