About the Role
Due to organic growth we are looking to recruit a Payroll Reconciliation and Compliance officer to join our national head office team. You will be responsible for managing the overpayment process, workers compensation payments and portable Long Service Leave payments.
This is a hands-on position that will require a strong knowledge of end to end payroll process. This is a great opportunity to move out of a deadline driven payroll position and really make a difference by streamlining process and ensure that all claims are administered in an accurate and timely manner.
About You;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to write documented procedures for payroll team and effectively communicate with HR/ Finance teams to improve existing payroll processes
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Demonstrated strong initiative skills
- Advanced Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Quality Assurance/Compliance background (preferred but not essential)
- LEAN process improvement knowledge (preferred but not essential)
- Extensive experience in end to end payroll processing
- Ability to provide professional support to the payroll team
- Sound knowledge of HR practices, procedures, operations and payroll legislation
- Excellent customer focus services and previous experience working in a shared services environment will be highly regarded
