Based in Sydney Olympic Park and reporting into Financial Accounting & Governance Leader, the 6-month contract role of Financial Accountant will support the project’s month end close and governance initiatives. In addition, you will also be a key business partner to the broader Group Reporting finance and Tax teams and will work with them to deliver the key financials in a timely and value add manner.
This role will also have the opportunity to support the implementation of SAP S4 HANA and take on additional responsibility based on the needs to the team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee Completion of month end close within required deadline
- Oversee monthly completion of fixed asset activities which includes the depreciation run
- Ensure timely and accurate indirect tax compliance including excise, GST, FBT and customs duty (analytics, reporting and lodgement)
- Ensure accuracy and support of reconciliations process (Balance sheet)
- Act as a key support to our off-shore team in manila
- Investigate queries and ensure outcomes are actioned and communicated
We are looking for a CA/CPA qualified professional who has key experience in SAP and core financial accounting processes. You will have strong communication skills and will relish problem solving with your inquisitive mindset.
