The Company
Our client is an ASX listed and rapidly growing insurance business. They are a famous brand within the industry, urgently on the look out for qualified and skilled finance professionals. Our client has a very interesting business structure with over 40 different business units.
The Role
This role will support and manage the current finance team. In addition to the day-to-day functions, the role will involve offering commercially insightful advice to the CFO, regarding process enhancements and reporting timetable improvements. It requires a technically astute accountant, with staff management skills, and the following specific skills:
- Statutory reporting
- Consolidating 40 Business Units
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Cash flow management
- System streamlining and process improvement
- KPI analysis & reporting
- Due diligence projects
- Treasury & foreign exchange
- Engaging with non-finance managers to improve information and data flows
- P&L and balance sheet review
This is a role which will allow an individual to put their technical skills to the test in a positive and dynamic environment. This is a temporary position for 3 months minimum, that has a likelihood to result in a permanent stay for the right candidate.
Your Profile
You will be an individual with a strong background in a complex Financial Accounting role in an ASX listed business. You must be able to demonstrate the highest levels of technical capability from a financial reporting perspective, including consolidating, along with the ability to identify areas of improvement within business systems and processes. CPA or CA qualification and availability in the short term are crucial.
