Finance Business Partner- Large Listed Financial Services Organisation

The Company

One of Australia’s largest ASX listed financial services organisations is seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven junior manger to join the finance team, focusing on the new technologies running through the business during an exciting period of transformation. The position is involved in all aspects of business planning and analysis and requires a qualified (CA or CPA) finance business partner to join a talented and rapidly expanding finance team.

The Role

The role includes but is not limited to:

• Provide analysis of the assigned programmes/projects spend, including comparison of spend against budget and forecast.
• Review, analyse and constructively challenge the monthly project spend with a view to understanding the status of each project, including milestones, risks, issues, financial status (actuals, forecasts, budgets), and progress made each month. Highlight slippage, risks, issues or other constraints which may impact the Program.
• Manage the delivery of monthly financial reporting for the assigned programmes/projects.
• Manage the annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecast processes.
• Build and maintain relationships and trust with the project community to facilitate access to information and provide a contact point back for value added advice to the assigned programme/project teams.
• Communicate findings and insights to Strategic Investments management team.
• Initiate and drive processes to streamline, simplify, automate and place greater emphasis on value added analysis including assisting in the implementation of new reporting tools to ensure smooth change management.

Your skills and experience:

• CA/CPA qualified
• Previous experience working on key change projects
• 5-8 years management accounting and financial analysis experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
