A look into what the role involves:
- Forecasting/Budget Reporting
- Monthly financial reporting preparation for presentation to various stakeholders and statutory bodies
- Financial modelling
- Learning new applications and integrations
- Preparing BAS/ IAS/ Taxable payments
- Maintaining procedures and operations manuals
- Preparing payroll and lodging superannuation and Long Service Leave
- Examining operating costs and organisations income and expenditure
- Mentoring and managing a team
- Providing workflow mapping and analyses
Ideal candidate will have/are:
- Available to work full-time Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm work
- Accounting degree is essential however, CPA/CA or working towards would be beneficial
- 8+ years’ experience working for SME’s where there has been a hands on role overseeing the full finance function
- Experience managing a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with MYOB, Xero and SAP system
- Highly analytical and strong system skills – ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Candidates purely from Chartered/Tax/Audit would not be suitable for this role
- Character traits which will promote success in this role are resilience, resourcefulness and a solutions oriented focus
- You must be a positive person, a team player and genuinely excited to see growth for you and those around you
