Working alongside an experienced team we have a vacancy in our Payroll department.
This position is responsible for multiple awards, agreements and disciplines, as well as being responsible for processing and maintaining the manufacturing payroll for the business. This position is based at our head office in Salisbury.
Key tasks include:
- Processing the weekly payroll for more than 500 manufacturing employees.
- Maintaining and updating employee records.
- Monthly Superannuation reconciliations & on-line lodgement with clearing house.
- Setting up new employees.
- Calculation of termination pays.
- Reconciliation of Annual Leave Balances.
- Generating daily and weekly payroll reports.
- Generating and uploading weekly payroll journal into QAD.
- Liaising with supervisors on a daily basis regarding employees clock-cards.
- All payroll filing.
Skills, Expectations and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years manufacturing payroll experience.
- Ability to adhere to strict time frames.
- Proven ability to manage pressure effectively.
- High level of accuracy & attention to detail, with the ability to problem solve.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation & statutory requirements related to payroll processing.
- Previous experience with TMS (Time & Attendance) and MicroPay (Meridian) is desirable.
- Intermediate experience with MS Office suite, especially Excel (highly desirable).
Applicants would need to have strong verbal communication skills and an ability to work with a diverse range of supervisors across different functions. Additionally to be successful you will need to demonstrate numerical and analytical skills.
