Accounts Officer with Supervisor requirements, located in the Sutherland Shire.

Your new company

This successful company located in the Sutherland Shire is a waste management business that provides a supportive working environment. The backbone of many organisations, council buildings and industries across Sydney, this company is well-established and fast paced.

With a relatively new office team in place, they are hoping to introduce a Supervisor to oversee weekly Accounting functions whilst supervising the small admin team of three customer service officers and two office administrators.

This is a varied position which would suit a motivated individual who would be driven to implement new procedures and policies within a team.

Your new role

Accounting Duties:

  • Raising purchase orders
  • Invoicing
  • Ensuring payment deadlines are met on time
  • Ensuring clients are followed up in regards to invoices and expected rates
  • Communicating with internal departments on accounts needs
  • Weekly payroll on Kronos System - for sites across NSW - using a roster system for drivers and casual staff

HR Duties:

  • Ensuring employees are compliant
  • All personal information is up to date and files in order
  • Assisting with Management on hiring decisions
  • Advertising roles
  • Reporting into the Manager on payroll costing and attendance information


Supervisory

  • Assisting with any needs from the admin / customer service team
  • Supporting with any training
  • Managing when staff are on sick leave - delegating duties between the team
  • Handling any customer inquiries / account inquiries should customer service not be able too



What you'll need to succeed


This role will suit a resilient individual who is confident in communicating with drivers, casual staff members and sites across NSW. The role would not suit an individual who is seeking a corporate or highly structured / policy structure. It would suit a down-to-earth professional who has experience supervising admin staff, can "push-back" in a trades focused environment and implement new procedures and methods of organizing the team.

  • Experience using KRONOS would be extremely beneficial
  • Experience in a similar industry
