My Client is large scale leading retail group and one of the world’s leading providers of office supplies. They offer a diverse range of products and services including office machines,promotional products, technology, business services, and other office-related products. They pride themselves on being a company who deliver outstanding results by pushing the boundaries of innovation and creativity.
 
They are on the lookout for a qualified Pricing Analyst with the primary objective being to provide analysis and commercial advice to the business across Australia and New Zealand, relating to maximising revenue and profit across various product lines and distribution channels as well as provide coordination and technical support to the Pricing Development Team on projects.

Desired outcome:

• Drive results through statistical analysis and performance tracking
• Execute successful pricing initiatives from conception to implementation
• Support the analytics team along its evolution to become more quantitively focused 

Duties:

• Identify profit improvement opportunities and provide insights through profit modelling and analysis
• Coordinate and track progress of projects to ensure that milestones and performance indicators are met
• Analyse customer behaviours and trends relating specifically to overall profitability
• Working with Pricing Manager to develop Pricing recommendations
• Efficient analysis of data for both ad-hoc analysis & reporting purposes
• Collaborate with and support key stakeholders across the enterprise on projects
• Provide training and development to Pricing team members

The ideal candidate:

• Minimum of 5 years commercial experience
• Tertiary Qualifications in a quantitative discipline
• Highly developed ability and experience in data modelling combined with an outstanding ability to apply technical knowledge to business requirements
• Advanced expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in working with large/complex datasets
• Excellent presentation and communication skills presenting complex information to a variety of stakeholders
• Previous exposure to Tanbleau, Power BI or Python  

Competencies: 

• Advanced analytical skills with a strong understanding of commercial and financial principles
• Ability to analyse a situation and recommend enhancements
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, being able to explain complex analysis/concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Comprehensive understanding of profit drivers & strategies
• Collaborative team member Ability to manage several tasks concurrently and achieve deadlines
