Our client is a well established retail group based on St Kilda Road. They are looking for a commerce/business graduate accounts payable officer to join their finance team.

Supporting the Accounts Payable Team Leader you will ensure the Accounts Payable invoices are prepared for weekly payment.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Reviewing all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
Process high volumes of invoices
Prioritize and distribute invoices
Vendor maintenance
Assist in month end closing, including month end journals
Assist with other general functions as needed

The successful candidate will have;

The ability to work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong Excel Skills
Completed or studying toward a Business degree
Must have a "can do" attitude and willingness to learn
Experience in accounts payable or receivable is desirable but not essential
