Company
Our client is a successful and leading organisation operating in the industrial space and working with some of Australia's largest organisations. They have a fabulous supportive culture and due to significant growth, have created a new position for an inquisitive, highly analytical Commercial Manager to support the sales and operations of the business. 

Role
Reporting to a highly experienced CFO, the primary purpose of the Commercial Manager is to support the Sales GM in the sales performance of the business through financial oversight, insights and governance across pricing and maximization of customer contract margins and profitability.  

In this newly created role, you will develop a leading commercial finance function which delivers innovative, proactive and insightful models for strategic analysis across products and markets. 

It is imperative you take the business on a journey to promote finance's understanding of business activities, and the businesses understanding of financial matters. Along the way, you will improve the governance and control processes to protect businesses assets.


Profile
Coming from a finance background, you must be CA/CPA qualified with 7 years post-qualified experience in a senior commercial role with strong understanding across pricing, sales, margins, customer segments and customer contract management.

You will have exceptional excel modelling and systems skills and experience gained in organisations which are complex and evolving in terms of their sophistication across financial tools.  It would be highly advantageous if you come from sectors such as construction, mining, manufacturing, infrastructure or heavy machinery.

Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills are critical. You will be liaising with high profile stakeholders such as the GMs, CEO and CFO, yet also comfortable working with the operational employees of the business. You must be able to work autonomously, under pressure and have the ability to test and challenge executive management using robust analysis and sound commercial judgement. 

Benefits
Salary of c.$200,000 package + bonus
