At ORIX we are continuing to grow or Fleet Management and Leasing business and as a result we are in search of an Internal Audit Assistant for our Australian and New Zealand operations. This role reports to the Head of Internal Audit and is based in Macquarie Park, however you may be required to travel from time to time. The Internal Audit Assistant will be assisting in the process of internal audits which will include internal controls testing, Sarbanes-Oxley testing, business risk assessments and ad-hoc requests.

Other key components of the role include:

• Conducting audit assignments both supervised and unsupervised
• Conducting testing in accordance with the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program
• Assisting with designing and implementing internal audit programs as directed by the Internal Audit Manager
• Identifying areas of risk within the organisation and determining whether internal controls are adequate to mitigate risks
• Reviewing accounting and related systems, for efficiency and integrity
• Utilising ACL data analytics software and databases to verify integrity of data in operating systems
• Reporting the results of audit work to both the Senior Internal Auditor and Internal Audit Manager
• Assisting with various tasks and related duties as assigned

 
About You

• A minimum of 2-3 years of external/ internal audit experience
• Formal qualifications in Accounting (completed or working towards CA or CPA)
• Working knowledge of PC-based data analytics software such as ACL or IDEA  
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
• Strong planning and organisational skills – ability to cope with pressure and tight deadlines; prioritise and organise workloads
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
