 About the role

We are currently seeking a motivated and proven Management Accountant to join our Finance team based in our South Yarra Head Office. This role will provide assistance and support to the Finance Manager.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts pack;
  • Assist with preparation of monthly board reporting;
  • Preparation and distribution of regular trade reporting to the wider business measuring a number of KPIs;
  • Analysis of financial information and providing recommendations to senior management;
  • Management and facilitation of related accounts administration
  • Oversee procedures, forecasts, budgets and maintain appropriate financial policies and controls
  • Assist in the coordination and management of year end reporting processes
  • Assist with ATO reporting, lodgment and payment obligations
  • Provide assistance in overseeing treasury functions – payables, receivables and banking
  • Build strong relationships across the business and work collaboratively in a small team environment
  • Ad hoc analysis as required by Finance Manager

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related Professional Qualifications and a current CA/CPA accreditation;
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles;
  • Ability to write business professional business documents and reports;
  • Ability to convey financial information in different formats dependant on the end user
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and attention to detail;
  • Motivated, proactive and able to demonstrate solution based thinking;
  • General office software knowledge, (use of databases, accounting packages);
  • Experience in a pressured, ever-changing environment.
