An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their welcoming and supportive team in the Head Office on the southern end of the Sunshine Coast.


Please note this position is 2 days per week Monday’s and Tuesday’s 9am - 5pm


The Position

Providing a high level of customer service to internal and external customers, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering exceptional and responsive customer service, accurate processing of payroll and the provision of specialist payroll related advice across all entities
  • Manage all payroll processing ensuring compliance with employee entitlements, industrial instruments and legislative requirements including payroll tax, superannuation and reconciliation of payment summaries
  • Provide up to date interpretation and consistent advice in relation to awards, collective agreements and HR policies and procedures
  • Assist the HR Manager with a variety of payroll related issues
  • Act as Systems Administrator for the payroll system including updating rates in line with wage increases
  • Develop and run reports from the payroll system to support business functions

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated success in the delivery of quality and customer focused Payroll Services is essential
  • Hold a Diploma of Payroll (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience undertaking the full range of payroll activities for a medium to large size organisation, preferable with multi-site and geographically dispersed operations
  • Experience with HR3 Pay (payroll system) is highly regarded
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of current relevant legislations and taxation requirements
  • Project management experience, including the ability to demonstrate exceptional time management, administrative and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated operational level experience in the effective development, implementation and system administration of HR systems (e.g. payroll, HRIS, IMS)

Applicants must also have the ability to complete a police check, hold a Blue Card and have a current Driver's Licence.
