About the role
Reporting to the Tax Operations Leader, you will be part of a team who’s role is to ensure income tax and indirect tax liabilities and compliance obligations across Australia and New Zealand for Latitude Financial Services are efficiently and effectively managed.
Key Responsilbities include but not limited to:
- Preparation of annual company and trust income tax returns
- Preparation of Tax Effect Accounting entries and disclosures in accordance with AIFRS
- Calculation and remittance of income tax instalments
- Calculation and remittance of withholding tax and associated returns
- Complete monthly and annual indirect tax obligations
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Identifying and implementing potential tax planning opportunities
- Ensuring that our tax processes are appropriately documented in accordance with Latitude’s Tax Governance Policy
Skills & Experience
- CA / CPA qualified
- 4+ years post-qualification experience in Chartered or Corporate Industry
- Understanding of local tax and AIFRS requirements for Tax Effect Accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Curious mindset and the ability to challenge status quo
- Sound knowledge of ERP systems - SAP, Solution 6, Oracle or similar
