The Company
This rising medium size company in the construction sector is looking for a Financial Accountant to join its team of passionate and driven professionals to take the company to a higher level. Being a leading player in the Real Estate and infrastructure markets, multiple company expansions are already on the horizon, so there is no better time to join.
Reporting directly to the FC, you would have meaningful experience in all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, and further expand your knowledge of statutory requirements. This position starts as a 6-month contract with a potential view to permanent role for the right candidate.
The Role
· Responsible for all accounting functions
· Maintenance of accounting records, budgeting and job cost controls.
· Cash flow management and reporting
· Business performance analysis
· Bank reconciliations
· Journals and accruals
· General ledger reconciliations
· Preparation & submission of compliance reports
· Management of fixed assets register
The Requirements
· Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
· CA or CPA Qualifications preferred but not essential or working towards
· Experience within a building construction company or a related industry is
Preferred but not essential
· Excellent Interpersonal, Written and Verbal Communication skills
· Advanced MYOB skills and experience
· Solid technical knowledge of accounting and taxation
· Excellent time management and planning skills
· Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
