About the Company:

Our client, a boutique residential construction company based in South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, is looking for an experienced and determined Bookkeeper to join and support their team in bookkeeping activities. This is a newly created role within the business.

About the role:

You will be responsible for:

• Entering data
• Providing support on accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation and journals
• Preparing weekly payroll for employees
• Preparing BAS lodgements, tax returns and other ad-hoc duties
• Handling superannuation and payroll tax duties
• Providing admin and reception duties when required

About you:

• Experience with Xero essential
• Qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping
• At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping
• Strong written and verbal communication skill
• Experience in BAS lodgement and payroll
• Liaising with internal & external stakeholders, supervisors, workers, etc.
• Advanced MS Excel skills required
• Attention to details and analytical aptitude
