The Opportunity – Management Accountant

Joining an existing high-performing finance team and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Management Accountant will be responsible for working with internal budget managers, offering financial budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and reporting and ensuring that an appropriate internal control environment is maintained. You will be relied upon for utilising your strong relationship-building skills, business acumen and analysis skills to provide exceptional financial management and planning advice, as well as assist in Board reporting and financial control tasks.

As an experienced Management Accountant you will pride yourself on your ability to innovate, drive efficiencies and achieve customer focused goals. You will form close working relationships with business stakeholders and influence stakeholders to meet the financial requirements of the business and drive optimal financial outcomes and support business initiatives.

Essential skills and criteria

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline;
• Membership of a professional accounting body (i.e. CPA or CA);
• Extensive experience in financial and management reporting practices;
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
• Experience using data analysis and visualisation tools would be highly regarded;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated stakeholder service delivery and support;
• Proven ability to meet deadlines;
• Experience within the financial services industry would be desirable but not expected.
