Who we need
We are currently looking for a full time Finance Officer to join our Finance team. The Finance Officer is responsible for undertaking the functions and tasks necessary to support the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support accounts receivable and payable, resident registers and contract managements system
- Maintain and support a register of Direct Debits and generate periodic Direct Debits
- Provide support to Administrators in relation to resident / client data and accounts
- Conduct internal audits of processes and procedures within the boundary of duties
- Maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure documentation is completed as required by policy and procedures
- Undertake General Ledger processing
- Assist with the preparation of monthly journals and reconciliations
- Provide support for the annual audit
- Research, provide support and advice on taxation matters as required
- Other miscellaneous tasks as directed to support the Finance and Corporate function
- Maintain the customer service culture and present professionally to all people
About You
- Tertiary qualification (diploma or degree) in accounting highly desirable
- Experience working in an accounts team highly desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good attention to detail, efficiency and effectiveness
- High ethical standard; trustworthy and confidential
- Works well in a team and independently
