The Blind Factory is Melbourne’s most talked about Window Furnishing Company. We strive to provide our customers with designer products at factory prices that enhance their homes.
We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Accounts Payable professional to join the existing Accounts Payable Officer.
This role is based in Bayswater and will be part time.
This payroll and accounts position is responsible for processing a weekly payroll for staff and contractors, as well as the Accounts Payable function within our business. You will be joining a small accounts team and the responsibilities of the role include:
Daily processing of invoices
Responsible for timely creditor payments
Responsible for creditor reconciliations
General Journal Entries
Preparation and submission of BAS statement
Liaising with external Accountants as required
Preparation of monthly sales reports
Preparation and payment of staff and contractors wages accurately and on time
Maintain pay records including timesheets, leave records and related information
Reconcile payroll, payroll tax, superannuation payments and authorised payroll deductions
Monitor and manage correspondence, and respond and resolve all payroll queries
Set up of new starter / leaver documentation, processing terminations and managing employee details
To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
Minimum of 3 years payroll experience in a medium volume accounts and payroll environment
Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications
Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a professional and responsible manner
Strong numerical skills with high attention to detail
Solid understanding of relevant legislation
You will have 3 years hands on experience in MYOB as a prerequisite and having XERO software experience would be a distinct advantage.
You must be an Australian Citizen or the holder of an Australian Permanent Residency Visa to be eligible for this role.
