Assistant Accountant

We are a Global Payroll and HR services company, born and delivered in Australia, we provide a boutique services for over 700 clients across Australia and abroad and do this with outstanding five star service. With a head office based in Sydney and Satellite offices in Perth, Auckland, Singapore and Shanghai, there is scope for travel and development in those regions where applicable.

 

The Assistant Accountant is responsible for the effective and efficient processing of accounting data, for preparing all financial reports, assisting in year end.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Preparation of Bank Reconciliations and journals
  • Involvement in Month End Process
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Expense claim reimbursements
  • Reconciliation of Intercompany balances and Preparation of Intercompany invoicing
  • Payroll Processing and payments
  • Assist to prepare monthly GST, PAYG, Payroll Tax, and FBT reporting
  • Assist with month end process and preparation of monthly accounts
  • Involvement in annual statutory reporting process
  • Assist with year end audit
  • Various ad hoc analysis and reporting

TECHNICAL OR EXPERT KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in payroll, and the use of computerised payroll systems or other relevant database
  • Personal and people management abilities including team building and conflict resolution
  • Experience using Xero is highly regarded
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel with macros desirable
  • Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels
  • Proven ability to communicate, both oral and in writing, in a clear and concise manner
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and identify and deal with problems
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products
