About the business

• We are a growing CPA Firm located in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, catering to the accounting, taxation, GST and business advisory needs of a wide cross-section of clients  including Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, Super Funds, sole traders and individual personal returns.

About the role

• We are seeking a full time or part time accountant with a minimum of 3+ years public practice experience.
• The position requires the successful applicant to be up to date with relevant Australian Tax law and have a strong knowledge of Superannuation, GST, FBT regulation and ASIC compliance. You will have a strong work ethic and excellent oral and written communication skills.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience in the preparation of:

• Financial Statements for all types of business entities & Super Funds

• Tax returns and GST Returns for all types of entities and business structures

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will ideally be CPA qualified, with excellent written and oral  communication skills.

You will:

• Have 3+ years experience
• Be able to liaise with ATO, ASIC and clients
• Have strong technical and bookkeeping skills
• Be able to work independently
• Have strong organisational and time management skills
• Be highly attentive to detail and accuracy
• Have strong computer skills and a sound knowledge of accounting software including: Handisoft, MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks/Reckon/Quicken, CashFlow Manager, and BGL SimpleFund
