We are a mid sized Fast Moving Consumer Goods company who manufactures, markets and distributes it’s own well known brands/products. We are currently seeking a Cost Accountant to join our Finance team, based at Concord.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Production settlement and intercompany cost transfer adjustments
- Driving the setting of Standard costs
- Analyse and prepare reports on variances.
- Collate monthly data as required by head office.
- Perform costings as required for new and current products and processes.
- Provide assistance to state offices on commercial matters.
- Analyse manufacturing trends and make recommendations for improvements.
- Assist budget holders in allocations of expenses to budgets / accounts and rectifying errors.
- Review transfer pricing on monthly basis, and calculate new transfer prices as required.
- Participate in monthly Sales and Operations Planning process.
- Review production master data, and assist in maintenance of data accuracy, consistency and integrity.
- Assist in regular stock takes.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need a minimum of 2 years cost/management accounting experience, demonstrate an ability to meet timetables and reporting deadlines. It is essential that you possess a demonstrated work history in the use of major ERP systems. It is assumed you have advanced excel skills, sound interpersonal skills and excellent attention to detail.
