Large Financial Services company looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team on a 12 month contract
Your new company
This leading company in the financial services industry is well known in the Australian market . They are currently looking for someone initially on a contract basis with a view to go permanent for the right person.
This role would be a perfect fit for a Big 4 1 st or 2nd mover who is looking to build on their commercial experience in a company who will challenge and develop your career.
Your new role
As part of this role you will be involved with
- Preparation of Statutory Financial Statements
- Preparation of Financial Statement statutory memo's
- Managing the external audit process
- Presenting key financials to senior stakeholders
- Completing month end tasks including reconciliations, journals and accruals
- Handling all tax compliance (BAS, FBT, GST)
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role:
- you will be CA/CPA qualified
- you will be a Big 4 1st or 2nd mover with strong Australian or International reporting / auditing experience
- you must have a financial services bakground either in audit or a commercial company
- you will have 2-3 years post qualification experience
This position has scope for an ambitious and high performing individual to progress their career within the organisation.
What you'll get in return
You will get the opportunity to work closely with the Financial Controller. The Financial Accountant will be expected to play a significant part in the Finance function and take on certain responsibilities from their manager. This is beginning on a 12 month contract basis it has the opportunity to permanent for the right candidate.
