Role Overview
Discovery Parks are looking for a Financial / Investment Analyst to join the Mergers and Acquisitions team. You will support the function by analysing both financial and non-financial information. You will provide financial analysis and advice to support the due diligence process for acquisitions, investment proposals for development projects and other significant business decisions. Using your excellent reporting skills, you will make recommendations on investment and other growth opportunities within our multidimensional business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assistance in due diligence programs pertaining to all prospective M&A transactions
- Presentation of critical data to support acquisition and capital investment decisions
- Creating financial models and value determinations
- Research and benchmarking of industry data
- Preparation of responses to tenders
- Assistance in the preparation of monthly board reports
- Relationship management with valuers, vendors & property agents
- Various ad hoc operational and financial analysis as required
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Demonstrated experience within a similar role
- Previous experience in financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Economics
- Well-developed analytical and research skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with people from financial and non-financial backgrounds
- Sound judgement and decision-making abilities
- Excellent time management and personal planning skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- CA / CPA qualifications (desirable)
- Experience with SQL database programming (desirable)
