About the Role
WorkPac are seeking a Senior Commercial Business Analyst for a short term project, reporting to the Manager of Business Analysis. This role will be offered as a full-time 2 month contract initially, with potential to be extended.
Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited too;
• Responsible for providing commercial and analytical support to operations leadership.
• Engaging with the business to assess the financial viability of projects and programmes through appropriate evaluation using detailed financial modelling to identify key drivers for optimising project value.
• Responsible for assessing, valuing and influencing major investment proposals, including preparing proposals for the Investment Committee and Board
• Reviewing and providing recommendations on capital expenditure applications, major operating cost decisions and post investment reviews
• Fostering a culture of zero harm and continuous improvement
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Undergraduate degree in a technical, commercial and/or science field with 5+ years experience in a similar role;
• Proven experience with discounted cash flow and net present value analysis
• Experience in influencing highly skilled and capable professionals;
• Proven financial evaluation and modelling expertise, including a solid foundation in tax, finance and accounting principles.
• Resources sector experience is highly desirable
• Right to work in Australia
