- Graduate SMSF Audit role (not general accounting role)
Baumgartner Super is a leading provider of Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) audit services in Australia. With an expanding workforce we are looking for someone to join our busy team.
Directly reporting to a Manager, this role involves auditing SMSFs. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as communication and teamwork are key elements of this role.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Checking that all required information has been provided;
- Review of the SMSF financial statements;
- Review of the compliance of SMSFs with the SIS Act and SIS Regulations;
- Processing new work and new information for work in progress;
- Assisting with special administration projects as required.
Experience
The successful candidate will have an appropriate accounting or business degree. No experience in superannuation is required.
Successful Candidate must:
- have completed a bachelor degree in accounting/commerce;
- demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- have a basic level of Australian taxation knowledge;
- have a fundamental knowledge of types of investments;
- have the ability to problem solve;
- have the ability to multitask and prioritise;
- work well under pressure to meet daily deadlines and client requests;
- be eligible to work in Australia.
