About the role

A rare opportunity has arisen for a focused individual with the right skill set to assist in the finance and accounting aspect of the business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller the role itself involves:

• Daily bank reconciliations.
• Using Levesys, a specialised construction industry software for data entry and maintenance of subsidiary accounts and ledger reconciliation.
• Use MYOB to record transactions in subsidiary companies within the group.
• Assisting in the preparation of BAS submission and monthly reporting.
• AP and AR processing and management.
• Maintain efficient filing systems.
• Communicate and cooperate effectively with other staff members in a team format to ensure information being processed is allocated correctly.
• Addhoc duties with the ability and desire to step in and assist when other employees are absent or when workflow requires.
• Be an ambassador for the company at all times by displaying a polite friendly and helpful attitude.

The role requires an eye for detail and a honest, hard worker.

Skills and experience

To be a good fit for the role the applicant needs to have:

• at least 12 months experience in the residential construction industry.
• business degree from a reputable university.
• intermediate excel skills with some knowledge of data analysis and modelling.
• Levesys software specific knowledge and experience is required.
