The Opportunity
 
Due to growth, our Sydney Risk Advisory Services (RAS) division is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic IT Audit Senior. This role would suit a motivated individual with proven experience in internal audit.  
 
Your main responsibilities will include:

• Work closely with the internal audit team in delivery of internal plan reviews for our clients;
• Provide Business and IT management with guidance on IT risk management matters and help identify improvement opportunities for clients;
• Provide client business and IT management with guidance on IT risk management matters;
• Conduct audits or lead audit teams in performance of IT audits and reviews of systems, applications and IT processes. Prepare and report results to executives and Audit Committees;
• Develop, build and implement tools to analyse data to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness;
• Where relevant, assess third party organisations' security performance against contract terms;
• Identify and clearly articulate findings to RSM internal audit teams and when necessary, client management; and
• Maintain strong budgetary discipline ensuring there are no major over runs. Ability to plan effective and realistic budgets.

The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:

• IT/Computer Sciences degree;
• 3-5 years minimum experience in IT technical delivery or Audit experience in industry or Professional Services environment;
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills;
• Expert knowledge of IT auditing, internal controls, risk management, and finance and accounting practices and methods;
• Comprehensive understanding of internal control environments within the IT function;
• Excellent leadership and teamwork skills;
• Experience with multiple technology domains including aspects of Windows, Unix and/or database administration, software development and networking;
• Proactive, hands-on, results-driven orientation;
• Ability to blend exceptional attention to detail with an ability to retain strategic direction within a rapidly evolving entrepreneurial business culture; and
• Ability to produce high quality work products for both the IT groups and Senior Management.
