Your new role
This in an interesting and diverse role, where you will receive the opportunity to work in a diverse and supportive team to perform tasks inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
- Ensuring the integrity of data on the general ledger
- Support the internal and external reporting processes, including end of month accruals
- Assist in agency wide compliance with accounting and financial management policies and legislation
- Contribute to and assist with the development of an effective accounting policy
- Assist with procurement policy and operations
- Assisting business unit staff to initiate transactions correctly
- Administering the end-to-end management of travel and credit card functions for the agency
What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate will have to ability to perform the above listed tasks to a high standard, you must be able to transfer departments in line with the public service act.
You will also have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2) ESC is highly desirable. Accounting qualifications are highly desirable as is holding/working towards your current CA or CPA
