- Manage a team of two Finance Managers
The Financial Controller will come on board to run the finance functions including accounting, taxation, reporting, operations and treasury as well as influence at a more strategic, board level.
More detailed responsibilities include:
- Supervision and leadership of a small team including Accounts Payable, Receivable staff ensuring key deliverables
- Hands on lead in managing the short term financial objectives and long term strategic objectives including providing timely reporting and accurate analysis for management, board, shareholders and other stakeholders
- Manage the consolidation process and upward reporting
- Work to drive improvements and simplify accounting processes
The Financial Controller should have the following background and work experience as well as personal attributes:
- CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with strong knowledge of Accounting principles
- Big 4 or Chartered backgrounds will be highly regarded
- 5 + years in a similar role
- Preferably a background in a progressive and international mid sized business
- Satisfied in a “hands on” capacity managing financial operations
- Capable and eager to get involved in strategic level decisions
- Strong influencing and decision making capacity
