  • Strategic CFO role within highly regarded aged care services provider
  • Key executive leadership position
  • Unique opportunity to positively impact the community

Catholic Healthcare is a leading specialist, NFP provider of Aged Care, Retirement Living, Community and Health Services across NSW and QLD, with plans to develop in Victoria. Employing over 3,700 people, it operates 40 Residential Aged Care Homes, 10 Retirement Living Villages, 2 Healthcare services and delivers Home and Community Care services for over 4,000 clients. As a strong, values-based organisation they embrace a Mission focused firmly on enhancing the lives of clients, enabling them to live life to the full.

Their growth plans are strategic and ambitious, with anticipated double digit per annum growth delivered through a significant series of new residential aged care and retirement living developments and expansion of Home & Community Services. Critical to this successful growth is the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). We are partnering with Catholic Healthcare to source an outstanding and commercially focused CFO who will work as a key member of the executive leadership team and support the vision of being the preferred aged services provider in an increasingly competitive and growing market.

In this role you will:

  • Act as a key member of the executive leadership team and provide support and advice to the CE and the Board relating to financial strategy, performance, risk, capital expenditure and other key strategic and operational matters;
  • Provide oversight for all financial functions including financial control, treasury, budgeting, planning and forecasting;
  • Lead all M&A activity including due diligence requirements;
  • Manage investment and loan portfolios in accordance with agreed finance strategy;
  • Ensure systems and processes are current and effective and deliver optimal outcomes;
  • Promote best practice around financial governance and compliance, ensuring alignment with relevant accounting and legislative requirements;
  • Lead, coach and develop the finance team (42 staff) and foster a culture of support, collaboration and innovation within the team, and across the broader organisation;
  • Forge strong, collegial relationships with peers on the senior leadership team and across the wider aged care and health sector.

To succeed in this role, you’ll possess a track record of successful financial leadership gained with a large health care provider; equally we will consider experience from other sectors focused on complex, distributed service delivery. You’ll demonstrate strong financial credentials such as CA or CPA membership and a proven success in building and sustaining high performing teams. As a natural influencer and relationship builder, you’ll thrive in an environment of growth and change and relish the opportunity to contribute to the development of this values-based organisation which truly impacts the communities it serves.
