FINANCE AND ADMIN MANAGER – SUMMERTIME GROUP (BASED AT GALSTON SITE)

This is an excellent opportunity for an outgoing, accounting professional looking to enhance their financial accounting skills. The nature of the role requires someone who is dynamic, enthusiastic, and responsible. In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will need the following:

  • CPA qualified or working towards
  • Hands on exposure in providing information/systems support to operations
  • People orientated with strong people management skills
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
  • Analytical skills, with good attention to detail and have the ability to investigate and find ways around complex problems.
  • An excellent communicator with a proactive nature, your tenacity and ability to think outside the square will ensure success in this role.
  • Strive to be a team player to ensure linkages are maintained with internal and external clients
  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost accounting principles
  • Organised to manage & prioritise multiple tasks
  • Strong computer skills, Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Ability to identify cost savings opportunities
  • Have the capacity to work through commercial issues and propose solutions along with an ability to implement accounting processes that facilitate this
  • Be orientated towards continuous business improvement
  • Aptitude to work with non-financial systems

Your role will be broad and will include involvement in the following key areas:

  • Responsible for all accounting functions
  • Weekly finance and production reporting
  • Month end processing, including posting of journals and reconciling allocated Balance Sheet accounts
  • Processing monthly accruals and prepayments, accurately maintain records of all provisions and accruals
  • Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
  • Prepare the annual accounts and schedules for audit.
  • Coordinating stock takes, Inventory reporting
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compile the group tax, payroll tax, superannuation payments, FBT and BAS.
  • Maintain the fixed assets register and records, R&M reporting.
  • Keep up to date with current accounting standards
  • Reconciliations of intercompany transactions
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Analyse costs and overheads, providing analysis and commentary on key variances
  • Assist with preparation and analysis of weekly business results
  • Reviewing and documenting of finance internal controls, procedures & policies, ensuring that internal controls are in place and adhered to
  • Assist with implementation of costing systems and controls
  • Actively participating in projects such as system integration and upgrades
  • Manage all admin related matters for the Summertime office
  • Site contact for all HR related matters
