Due to organic growth, this well-respected firm needs extra resources to cope with its growing workload.
Working from a home office environment in the suburbs of Wollongong, you’ll be the right-hand person to a busy Principal.
Here’s what we are looking for:
• Tertiary qualified intermediate/ senior Accountant with at least 5 years recent, relevant local experience. CPA/ CA qualification not essential, providing you can do the work.
• Experience dealing with the taxation affairs of SME/ business (Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, Sole Traders).
• Ability to prepare and finalise Individual Income Tax Returns, Business Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements, including the reviewing of work performed by junior staff.
• Experience with liaising with the ATO and other Regulatory Bodies.
• Experience with Sage HandiSoft (HandiTax, HandiLedger, Practice Manager), MYOB BankLink and a workable knowledge in the use of accounting packages including Xero, MYOB AccountRight/ Essentials, QuickBooks.
• Preferably some experience also with CLASS Super software, but not necessary.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
This position is for 3 days per week, but if need be, can be full time.
You will need to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with a genuine care and interest in the client’s financial affairs, plus a strong work ethic.
