Federal Group has an excellent career opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join our payroll team. Based at Wrest Point, Hobart and reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be involved in processing the weekly payroll and will also provide advice and service to your internal customers by responding to payroll enquiries from all areas of the organisation. This full-time, permanent position is for a team-orientated and enthusiastic Payroll Administrator who enjoys diversity in their job and working with systems and people.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in payroll
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation as it applies to Payroll (eg LSL, Workers Compensation, Superannuation and Tax)
  • Previous experience with Chris21 or similar payroll systems
  • An aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail and providing exceptional customer service
  • Excellent administrative skills and an ability to deal with conflicting demands and be proactive in determining the prioritisation of tasks
  • Well-developed computer skills and sound level of proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word and Outlook
  • The ability to operate effectively and meet operational and team objectives in a fast-paced team environment
