Data Analyst

Join our Operations team and take ownership for delivering a significant business restructuring project.

As an Executive/Senior Associate/University graduate, you will join the Business Intelligence team that supports the Financial Planning and Analysis function. In this role you will pro-actively partner with Finance and the business to provide insights and analysis to help drive business performance.  

You will design, build and maintain financial models as well as run data analytics with tools such as Alteryx and Power BI. Reviewing, challenging and reporting modelling outputs and designing and delivering analysis that gives meaningful insights into business performance are all business as usual daily responsibilities. Process improvement, ad-hoc project work supporting delivery of the Financial Management Group’s business strategy will be a way to showcase your knowledge and skills and potentially impact business decisions.

You are a confident and driven individual with a background in finance, consulting or commerce. You will also have a strong interest in the Australian Banking sector and a desire to build a career in financial management. Your tenacious attitude, curiosity, attention to detail and ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders will be the key to your success in this role.

 

Your technical skills and qualifications will include a tertiary degree in Accounting and Finance or similar, advanced Excel knowledge including prior modelling experience, data analytics knowledge and an ability to grasp the “big picture” aspect behind large projects and bodies of everyday work. Additionally, your strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify economic drivers and interpret model outcomes will be advantageous.
