This role is located in Christchurch, New Zealand.
This is it. One of the biggest payrolls in New Zealand, responsible for over 10,000 people getting paid on time, every time. We are looking for a leader that not only understands the mechanics of a great payroll process, but also its place in creating and maintaining a great employee experience.
Your leadership role includes:
- Ensuring that every one of our people is paid correctly, on time, every time
- Developing a team of specialists that work together to provide seamless end-to-end services
- Identifying opportunities for automation and elimination of manual processes
- Maintaining a consistent change management strategy for continuously evolving services
- Working alongside the People Technology Manager to make services easier for end-users
- Maintaining effective communications with all stakeholders across the organisation
Skills and experience
- Managing and overseeing of large, complex payrolls
- Sound knowledge and understanding of NZ payroll related legislation, including the Holidays Act
- Strategic understanding of internal audit and compliance processes
- Proven coaching and team leader skills
- Process improvement and change management experience
