Pionair Australia is a Charter Airline currently operating freight services across capital cities and major regional centres in Australia.

We are shortly expanding into passenger services and due to this growth require a part time accounts assistant to provide support to our team. There is scope to progress to full time as the needs of the business continue to develop.

You will have a diverse role, providing administrative support to various departments in peak periods and contribute to meaningful business decisions. Pionair values aptitude and attitude over experience, and working closely with the CFO, you will receive full ongoing mentoring and training. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a vibrant, well organised candidate with an eye for detail to learn about the Aviation industry and put tertiary level theory into practice!

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer you will be tasked with providing support for, and eventually being responsible for the following areas of our business:

  • Preparation of turnaround documents for Accounts Receivable
  • Input of Accounts Payable
  • Management of company credit cards
  • Preparation and processing of company payroll
  • Preparation of monthly payroll taxes and workers compensation returns.
  • Various ad-hoc tasks as required

To be successful in this position you will need to be able to satisfy the following essential criteria:

  • Degree or Diploma qualification (and/or experience), preferably in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll or Aviation
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Intermediate to Advanced level of competence in Microsoft Excel
  • Fantastic organisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Most importantly, Motivated, Friendly and Enthusiastic!

Remuneration is negotiable commensurate with previous experience and ability. If you thing you have what it takes we’d love to hear from you!
