Your new company
This large mining company are well known for their business success and pride themselves on their learning and development programs and diversity policies.
Your new role
As the Project Accountant you will report to the Finance Manager and complete the day-to-day accounting tasks which will include budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, EOM, preparation of FBT returns, processing invoices and reconciliations.
This role will also have a strong focus on cost analysis with the objective to understand the drivers of the business and review efficient and assistance with asset management.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this position you will ideally demonstrate the following;
- Good communication skills with the ability to present financial data to supervisors and non-financial employees.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting
- Analytical skills with the ability to present trends/findings.
- Strong commercial acumen
- Relevant Territory Qualification - i.e. Bachelor or Commerce, Accounting, Business etc. Note CA/CPA qualifications are not essential however a desire to achieve would be preferred.

- Work for a large, well known company within an established team. This role is based on site in a location approximately 3-4 hours from it's Central Queensland coastal towns.
- A Monday - Friday (5/2) roster with flexible hours Monday morning and Friday afternoon to allow you to travel back to the coast if preferred. Otherwise camp accommodation is provided.
- If you chose to live out of camp an allowance will be given.
- Relocation assistance can also be provided
This position will suit candidates in the salary bracket of $80,000 - $100,000/pa
