Senior Financial Accountant required ASAP for a short-term position within a government organisation
Your new company
A government organisation based in Melbourne's CBD.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- management of financial activities in accordance with statutory reporting
- managing a small team of accountants in a customer-focused team
- establishing and maintaining relationships with key internal and departmental stakeholders
- ensuring compliance requirements are met
- leading timely and accurate delivery of financial reports and cash flow forecasting
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- relevant tertiary qualifications and CA/CPA membership
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- highly developed change management skills
- a proven ability to be adaptable and demonstrate business acumen
- proven leadership skills
- experience in a government organisation (highly desirable)
