Senior Financial Accountant required ASAP for a short-term position within a government organisation

Your new company
A government organisation based in Melbourne's CBD.

Your new role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• management of financial activities in accordance with statutory reporting
• managing a small team of accountants in a customer-focused team
• establishing and maintaining relationships with key internal and departmental stakeholders
• ensuring compliance requirements are met
• leading timely and accurate delivery of financial reports and cash flow forecasting

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you will have:

• relevant tertiary qualifications and CA/CPA membership
• excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• highly developed change management skills
• a proven ability to be adaptable and demonstrate business acumen
• proven leadership skills
• experience in a government organisation (highly desirable)
