Aston Carter has been exclusively engaged in the search of a Cost Accountant on a permanent basis for a market leading FMCG powerhouse. This dynamic organisation has several renowned and established brands under its umbrella, fuelled by continuing growth across the organisation. Located in the Hills District.
Your Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Maintenance of Fixed Assets Register
- Maintain standard costs of raw materials, packaging, machines and finished goods.
- Inventory and account reconciliations
- Complete product costing duties in accordance with requirements from different departments
- Direct labour and variable overheads cost budgets
- Month-end duties
- Preparation of forecasts and budgets and balance sheet analysis
- Profit and Loss variance analysis and commentary
- Preparation of general ledger reconciliations
- Revenue reporting and recognition
- Supervision of team members
- Other ad-hoc reporting as requested
Your Experience
The skills and experience that you will require for this position:
- 5+ years in a cost/management accounting role in a manufacturing capacity
- Fully CPA/CA qualified
- Ability to communicate effectively up and down the finance chain
- Ability to work autonomously
- FMCG or Manufacturing industry experience is ideal
- Strong excel knowledge (Pivot tables and V-look ups)
- Large ERP system exposure
- Experience in managing team members
