The Role:
Our client is a globally recognized bank in the heart of Sydney CBD. They are looking to hire an experienced Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. Candidates with banking experience who can speak fluent Mandarin is essential for this role.
Working within a team of 7 and reporting into the Finance Manager your key duties will include;
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships in Australia and China
- Be involved in preparing APRA Returns;
- Prepare Annual Investment Income Return;
- Prepare monthly Head Office Reporting;
- Prepare quarterly Head Office Report(Capital liquidity Ratios Report & 1104);
- Be involved in preparing daily journal entries;
- Be involved in preparing and reviewing expenses and provision entries;
- Involve in Asset & Liabilities management;
- Assist the Senior Finance Manager/Head of Finance on ad-hoc projects; and

Key Requirements:
- CA/CPA Qualified
- 3-5 years accounting experience within a banking environment
- Being able to speak fluent Mandarin is essential for this role
- Strong understanding of banking legislation and products.
- Strong prioritization and excellent time management skills
- Be a team player and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good planning & organization skills and a willingness to be hands on.
- A confident communicator with strong leadership skills
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Be able to liaise in Mandarin as key stakeholders are overseas.
