The purpose of this role is to support the Preston manufacturing plant through financial operations – maintaining the integrity of the cost accounting finance system; providing regular insight on manufacturing variances and ensuring accurate standard costs for all products, conducting period reporting, management accounts reconciliations and operations fixed cost analysis. This role requires strong technical manufacturing accounting knowledge and analysis experience coupled with highly developed relationship building skills in order to truly partner with business stakeholders.

Your role will include:

• Providing accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders through effective month-end processes, accurate balance sheet reconciliations and the provision of quality financial accounts.
• Being the custodian of the operational and financial transactions for the site.
• Producing quality costing and management reports with insightful commentary.
• Promoting continuous improvement projects and tracking of delivery.
• Conducting Control Self Assessments and governance of site Capital Expenditure.
• Effective implementation and follow through of Amcor internal control policies and procedures.

The experience and skill required for the role:

• Finance background with 5+ years' minimum (exposure to manufacturing environments preferred)
• Strong commercial, critical and strategic thinking with prior experience of standard costing
• Excellent communications skills, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

• An accounting post graduate qualification (CA,CPA) preferred.
