My Pathway currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our Head Office team based in Cairns. This position is a great opportunity for career development and growth working with a national, established organization. The Senior Payroll Officer will support the Payroll Manager to ensure efficient and efficient payroll functions and payroll-based project-work.

About the role:
The role will be work collaboratively with the Payroll Manager ensuring timely processing of end to end payroll and reconciliation processes for weekly and fortnightly cycles across several companies while using multiple payroll platforms.

This role is fast-paced, diverse and requires superb time management, prioritisation and customer service skills.

What you’ll need to be considered:
• 3 + years experience in end to end payroll processing (Ideally 500+ employees)
• Experience in payroll reporting and system maintenance
• Experience with interpretation of employment awards
• Highly developed problem-solving, research and analytical skills and ability to develop forward-thinking solutions
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure that every payroll is processed correctly
• High level time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Intermediate/Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated ability to ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent collaboration, negotiation and consultation skills
