About the role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will have overall responsibility for the fiscal management of Australia and New Zealand operations and the creation and management of the annual operating plan and associated budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees the Finance team within the company and mentors and develops them by managing work allocations, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
- Serves as the financial liaison to the APAC regional financial organisation and corporate headquarters
- Delivers analysis of financial results to the Executive Management and develops recommendations for both strategic and operational actions.
- Monitors and reports on the affiliate strategic initiatives and the impact of changes or delays.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance of all financial functions
- Managing the output of the Amway Shared Service Centre for ANZ, including accounting functions, AP & AR and Bonus Payments
- Assesses the organisational performance against both the annual operating plan and company's growth strategy.
- Develops reporting and tools to provide critical financial information to the General Manager to demonstrate the impact of various initiatives on the operating performance of the company.
Key Skills Required
- Minimum 10 years of management experience at a Multi-National company with sales over $100 million, demonstrating a progressive career path over at least 10 years.
- Master degree in Finance/Accounting/Business
- CA/CPA/CIMA qualification
- Solid financial, analytical, reporting and numerical skills
- Demonstrated experience in creating and managing strategic plans
- Business acumen and Global mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of integrity
- Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate multiple tasks together with time management
- Strong leadership and problem solving skills
- Independent decision maker who takes accountability for actions and results
- Ability to develop, implement and enforce repeatable processes
- Demonstrates knowledge and insights about internal and external customers and acts to fulfil their business needs and exceed their expectations.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into easily understood reports
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of Finance systems & BI tools (Oracle, Hyperion Smart view & planning, OBIEE) highly desirable
To be successful in this role you will have experience and strengths in all the above responsibilities and have a strong depth of experience in all aspects of Finance and Strategic Planning.
