The Role
It's an exciting opportunity working within a high calibre finance division whom are a hands-on and approachable group of professionals. This role will be the right-hand person to the Group Accountant. Ideally, our client is looking for an all-rounder with strong experience, particularly in payroll, with the willingness to grow.
Realistically, it's not your normal Assistant Accountant role, it has the opportunity to be so much more. This is a company you can grow with as they will look after you, appreciate you, and reward you for all that you do!
It is a very interesting and fun environment – highly professional, but relaxed. The management team is enormously talented, and the business is going from strength to strength with massive growth across Australia and O/S.

The Position
- Superannuation payments though clearing house - Desirable
- End to end ownership of payroll function
- Ability to work closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & ensure all processes are adhered to
- Exposure to Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
- Multi-company exposure/experience
- Time focused
- Comfortable engaging extensively outside of finance and across the organisation. Your interpersonal and communication skills are first class, allowing you to gain the confidence of and develop strong professional relationships with those both above and below you.
Profile of the Successful Candidate: Please Cover these area's in your application
- Degree Qualified – Essential
- Be part or willing to commence CPA studies
- 3 – 5yrs experience
- Payroll experience – Weekly & Monthly payroll (W 0-40 employees, M 0-50 employees) – Essential
- Meridian MicrOpay or similar payroll system – Highly Desirable
- Time Management System or similar Payroll System – Highly Desirable
