Description
The Assistant Accountant will be reporting to the Financial Manager and also provide support to the finance and accounting team by maintaining and processing accounting transactions such as reconciliations, assets registry and periodic journal processing.
Other key responsibilities in this position will include;
- Undertake bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Undertake end of month processing and standing journals
- Maintain fixed asset register including depreciation
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as income statements and balance sheets
- Other tasks as required that are consistent with the scope and duties of this position
Profile
- Ability to manage competing priorities, particularly in relation to daily and monthly tasks
- Strong understanding of accounting theory
- Qualifications in Accounting to a diploma/ certificate level
- Studying towards CPA
