About the role:
The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will be responsible for the management of 2 analysts. With a focus on building a collegiate approach to partnering with the operational side of the organization's workforce so as to allow sound decision making. On a broader level the FP&A Manager will focus on the following areas:
- Planning and forecasting of expenses, relevant projects & productivity benefits
- Oversight of ongoing performance and management reporting including all components of expenses, project expenses & productivity capacity measurement; associated periodic deep dives and insights.
- Maintain best practice business partnering capability to maximise the strategic and financial impact of project resource and capital utilisation.
- Financial control and governance to help the business “make money safely”
- Drive insightful analysis across expenses & productivity company-wide, with a view to providing recommendations to influence management actions;
- Consolidation & communication of insights developed across the team
- Provide management oversight and guidance regarding pricing, terms and risk assessment to the negotiation of complex contracts
Requirements for this position:
The Financial Planning and Analysis manager will be able to demonstrate strong leadership capability, be able to influence senior stakeholders and have a passion for interaction with individuals outside of the financial arena. With a well-honed ability to explain complex financial principles in lay man’s terms, the role holder will possess an engaging and thoughtful communication style and superior written ability. In addition the role holder will satisfy the following criteria:
- Be CA or CPA qualified
- Have at least 5 years experience of partnering with non-finance individuals
- Possess extensive financial planning and analysis experience
- Be a strategic thinker who has a solutions driver mindset
- Be able to demonstrate leadership skills and / or potential
