A rare position has just become available for an Accounts Assistant with prior financial experience working within hotels, hospitality or retail to join a leading private property group based in the City Fringe. 

Within their newly established team you will be reporting into the Accountant and assist with the management and preparation financial reports and be responsible for the reconciliation of the general ledger for the Hotels Division.

The main responsibilities include:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports 
• Assist with the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Accurately record all streams of hotel revenue 
• Daily reconciliation of cash flow 
• Reconciliation of all paperwork
• Assisting the Finance Manager in maintaining accounting policies
• Assist with the preparation of reforecasting
• Reviewing and processing weekly payroll reports

To be considered for this role, you will:

• Have prior AND recent experience in an equivalent role (minimum 3 years)
• Prior experience in hotels/hospitality/retail
• Be degree qualified in a Accounting or similar discipline
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with using accounting systems and general ledger software
• Strong Financial/Commercial Acumen
• Be a highly motivated team player
• Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
